ELEVATE YOUR CAREER
THROUGH COMMUNICATING YOUR STRENGTHS
ABOUT

When people ask me what I do, I simply say “I help people find or create jobs they like and will be good at.” To me, that means creating a career based on your natural talents and learning to communicate those effectively to people who you work with or want to work with. I call that “Creating a Strengths-Based Career.”
I’ve made it my life’s mission to support, encourage, and inspire people to live more meaningful lives. That’s what makes my life meaningful.
I work with people who have big questions about what’s next who want support and guidance to figure it out and then need help to get there. I support leaders and job seekers step by step all the way to their goals.
For over 20 years I’ve done this through my work in higher education as a college career counselor, advisor, and faculty member teaching career management and learning strategy courses. I taught MBA students, first-year undergraduate students, and everything in between for many years at the University of Alaska Anchorage and Colorado State University. I currently provide contracted career coaching at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and consult to universities across the United States for Executive Coaching and on integrating CliftonStrengths into Career Development, Employee Development, and Student Services.
I expanded into private practice to serve leaders and jobseekers across industries as a private career and executive coach.
I coach early and mid-career professionals seeking a career change and searching for new jobs to understand their natural talents, identify opportunities in the current market to use those talents, and communicate their value effectively to people who can hire them. I meet with clients across the world by Zoom.
I coach executive leaders and mid-level managers to lead from their own strengths and lead strengths-based teams. I also work directly with workplace teams to become workplaces people don’t want to leave. When teams are working from their strengths and have hope for their careers, people are more productive, employees are happier, and even in the midst of changing economic conditions, people stay and grow.
And if you're a coach or entrepreneur interested in integrating the strengths-based approach into your business practices, coaching, or programs, I offer mentor coaching to help you create a business based on your own strengths.
I’ve developed a unique way of looking at a career, combining my training in Strengths with my knowledge of Career Development to help all the people I serve to create strengths-based careers.
